Connel has a range of pubs and restaurants featuring local seafood and more. There's also a village store as well as local and national transport links by bus and train. North Connel and Benderloch feature magnificant beach and forest walks including a steep but rewarding one to the summit of Beinn Lora (308m/1010 feet).
Within a few miles reach is Oban, offering all the amenities of a small town including a wider variety of shops, restaurants and cosy pubs with traditional live music, not to forget harbour and distillery. Oban is the Gateway to the Isles with ferries to Coll, Tiree, Colonsay, Uist, Barra and of course Mull, Iona & Lismore. Glencoe, Fort William and Easdale with the bridge over the Atlantic as well as the local Sea Life Sanctuary just a few miles north are all in easy reach.
